Saturday
Bolton v Tottenham (15:00)
Spurs have been going well this season, losing only to United and Chelsea, while Bolton have had a scrappy start to the season. We see no reason why Spurs can’t continue their form and get a result at Bolton. Away win (10/11)
Burnley v Birmingham (15:00)
Burnley’s home form and been pretty good so far this season, notching up that famous win against Man Utd. They did however suffer a crushing defeat to Spurs last weekend, but we expect them to resiliently bounce back against Birmingham. Home win (6/5)
Hull v Wigan (15:00)
Wigan come into this game off their best result in recent times, conversely Hull are entering this game following a drubbing at Liverpool. We think that Wigan should take the points in this one as Hull look to be a team in freefall. Away win (7/5)
Wolves v Portsmouth (15:00)
What can one say about Portsmouth? They are riddled with problems, both on and off the pitch, with stories of unpaid players. Having only won one Carling Cup match this season, we expect their misery to continue against Wolves. Home win (11/10)
Manchester United v Sunderland (17:30)
United have been going strong since that frightful night at Burnley, winning all eight matches since in all competitions. Sir Alex Ferguson will want to go into the next bout of international matches with a win, so to expect any other result other than a Utd win could be seen as folly. Home win (1/5)
Sunday
Arsenal v Blackburn Rovers (13:30)
Blackburn might give Arsenal a bit of a fight, but we think that as soon as they concede their first goal, they’ll probably go on to concede a couple more. Home win (1/5)
Everton v Stoke (15:00)
A difficult one to call given Everton’s injury list, but their recent league form has been quite good. Stoke, on the other hand, looked poor against Utd last week and created very little. Should Everton deal with the physical side of Stoke’s game like Utd did last week, then we can’t see anything other than home win. Home win (4/7)
West Ham v Fulham (15:00)
Both teams come into this fixture having played some very attractive football, but not having any results go their way. The same will probably happen today, with an entertaining draw on the cards. Draw (23/10)
Chelsea v Liverpool (16:00)
This one has draw written all over it. Although Liverpool got a result in last season’s corresponding fixture, this season Chelsea are a different prospect. playing some very good football and grinding out wins when they must. They will miss Cech, though we can’t see that having too much of an effect on the game. Draw (11/5)
Monday
Aston Villa v Man City
Both teams have been going well in the league this season, but we think that Villa are prone to the odd lapse. Man City might have just a little too much fire power for them. Away win (13/8)
